Women in Film Wednesdays
Join us for the second installment WIF Wednesdays, a monthly showcase of women’s episodic television: TV scripts written by local talent and performed live, by more of our local talent!
This time it’s a script read of Blue Oasis, a television comedy pilot and Holy Shorts 2024 script semi-finalist written by Debra Pralle, director, actor, screenwriter and Adjunct Instructor at Shoreline Community College; and Shea Gilchrist-Smith, actor, writer and producer for By the Sound Productions.
Blue Oasis Logline: After being handed the keys to her parent's secret swingers club, an unemployed single mom must manage an eccentric team of employees and fight a sanctimonious city hall, all while discovering her newly awakened carnal desires. Enjoy the pilot and a sneak peak at Episode Two!
More about our writers: Debra is known for many fabulous things including being director of the series A Broad Abroad, which won recognition at NY Film Awards, London Film Awards, and Paris Film Awards - written by Debra Pralle and Heather Pilder Olson, members of WIF Seattle.
